Winner of the Nationwide Tour Championship 2007 Richard Johnson studies his ball on the 18th Green of the final round before putting out, capturing the Money List Title, the Championship, and a PGA Tour Exemption Card allowing entry into PGA Events for the next season.

The Red Bull Air Races World Series chose the Harbor of San Diego Bay to compete over and put on a spectacular show viewed by 60,000 people lining the water line from Downtown to Coronado Island.  The most fun thing I've ever photographed.

Ryo Ishiwara, of Japan, competes in front of a large media filled gallery in the 2007 Junior World Championships on the South Course at Torrey Pines.  Ishiwara is the youngest Japan Tour event Champion winning a tournament at the age of 15.
Ultimate Fighting Championship celebrates it's moment of glory leading up to the May 26, 2007 bout in Las Vegas.  The main event lasted 1:53 into the first round when challenger Quinton Jackson won by TKO beating champion Chuck Liddell.  This is one of the last assignments shot for Wireimage prior to their merger with Getty Images.
 

 

Venus Williams powers a backhand ground stroke during her match at the 2007 Acura Classic at La Costa Spa in Carlsbad.  The 2007 Wimbledon champion and former Acura Classic champion was eliminated in the semi-finals.

The Long Beach Poly High School sports program is a decades old power-house producing top caliber athletes in all sports, boys and girls.  This portrait was shot for a cover in June 2007 on assignment for Sports Illustrated for Kids.

Major League Baseball's All-Time Saves Leader  (522 current) Trevor Hoffman, of the San Diego Padres, racks up another save against the San Francisco Giants  at Petco Park in San Diego.  This image was shot on a freelance assignment through Wireimage.com and published in Sports Illustrated Aug. 2006.

Real Madrid's international soccer super star David Beckham signs autographs at the upon arriving to the Salt Lake City International airport Aug. 2006.  Working as the contracted team photographer for host Real Salt Lake of Major League Soccer I was given inside access to photograph "Los Galacticos" on the team's weeklong visit for 2 International Friendly matches, 1 in Utah and 1 in Seattle.

The Bronco's Brett Denton of Boise State, tip-toes down the sideline against the University of Utah in Sept. 2006.  The Bronco's went on to a 13-0 undefeated season and victory in the Fiesta Bowl in one of the "best Bowl games ever" beating Oklahoma 43-42 in OT..  I shot this image on a freelance assignment for Getty Images and is published on their site.
Mexico's Cuahtemoc Blanco celebrates after beating Venezuela's goal keeper Manuel Sanhouse to score on a penalty kick during their international friendly match in Feb. 2007 at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. Mexico beat Venezuela 3-1 in front of 65,000 fans, making it the largest crowd to witness an event in that stadium.  This image is published as a freelance assignment on WireImage and is 1 of 1500 images I have posted and have published by them.
Arena Football center for the Utah Blaze Hans Olsen is unable to control his emotions after beating the Kansas City Brigade and advancing to the league play-offs in May 2006 in Salt Lake City.  As contracted team photographer for the Blaze for their inaugural season, I was also hired by the league to cover the 2006 AFL Arena-Bowl Championship game in Las Vegas. The 2006 Real Salt Lake soccer team poses for their 2nd annual team photo. I was the contracted team photographer for 2 years beginning in 2005 when the Major League Soccer franchise started play in Salt Lake City.  During their first 2 seasons RSL hosted the many international friendly matches played by the US Men's National team, Real Madrid, Costa Rica and other European Professional teams.

 ...outside the self imposed restraints of working and living in a small town, far away, I now finally am able to photograph more diverse and personally interesting subjects.
